Max Black
Max is a graduate of the CG Jung Institute in Zürich, Switzerland and a member of the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). He has gathered experience working with inpatient adolescents at the Center for Integrated Psychology (ZiP) University Clinic in Kiel, Germany, as well as the state run Family Guidance Center in Berlin. Max works online with individuals of all ages, as well as in person in Berlin.
With a background in Art History and Art Direction Max enjoyed a career in Creative Brand Development in his home town of New York City. Midlife and the scholarship of mythology brought him to Europe and to Liz Greene’s Center for Psychological Astrology, where he was awarded their advanced diploma and is now part of the faculty. The point of view that elements of the cosmos symbolize the dynamics of the psyche, inspired Max to pursue formal Jungian psychoanalytical training. He has further trained in Jungian Typological methods and serves on the faculty at Life Atlas.
When engaged analytically with individuals, Max focuses on building skills of perception by cultivating self-reflection. He helps to bring meaning to material originating from the inner world of dreams and the imagination, in which we can find an intelligence that fosters direction, navigation and an integration of the wishes of the ego with the wisdom of the soul. This developmental work is made possible by offering a relationship of support, stability, safety, inspiration and dedication.
