Natalia Serebrennikova

I have been practising psychological counselling, psychotherapy, and analysis for about 20 years. In my clinical work with adult patients, I see Jungian analysis as a method of personal development, including the support of creativity, self-regulation, and the capacity to find meaning. It also facilitates the understanding of personal and cultural narratives and the ability to draw resources from one’s unconscious complexes.

However, when one’s emotional, cognitive, behavioural, and somatic difficulties interfere with many areas of life, I use analytical psychotherapy with elements of art therapy, sandplay, and other techniques. When facing patients’ traumatic experience, I try to find a unique combination of approaches and to develop an attuned therapeutic relationship, as I truly believe that there are no premade recipes for every trauma psychotherapy.

My research interests include the use of alchemical metaphor in analytical practice, the influence of myths and cultural complexes on one’s wholeness, and effectiveness of analytical psychotherapy. I presented my findings at several IAAP conferences.

For many years I have been involved in the psychoeducation through teaching and publishing. I have translated or edited Russian versions of more than 20 books and articles on analytical psychology and psychoanalysis.

I graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MA, 1992; PhD in Natural Science, 1995; MA in Psychology, 2004). I also attended postgraduate courses in art therapy, psychosynthesis and other methods (2004 - 2017). I was trained analytically in the Developing Group of the International Association for Analytical Psychology, with teachers from the UK and Switzerland. I was qualified as an individual member of the IAAP in 2013.

I am an Austrian registered psychotherapist and a member of the Austrian Society for Analytical Psychology (ÖGAP), as I have been living and practising offline in Vienna for the last 7 years. I am also a training analyst and supervisor for the SAS (Serbia) and for the RSAP (Russia).

I work in English, German, and Russian. If you would like to have psychotherapy or analysis with me, please contact me to organise a preliminary session to orientate us on what your goals are and what I can suggest helping you achieve them. If you are interested in supervisions with me, contact me and we will try to create the best possible conditions for your professional growth.
